Professional Experience

Pastor & Head of Staff, North Westminster Presbyterian Church (NWPC), Lansing, Michigan (2009-Present)

  • An active Inner City Missional Church with 30% diverse ethnic minorities. In 1987, the church established Advent House Ministries (AHM) in order to serve the local homeless community. NWPC also has the longest running and the largest Personal Needs Closet in the Greater Lansing Area. NWPC & AHM are the co-stewrds of the church property and the cooperative mission partners under one roof for the homeless community in Lansing.

  • 2023 Built an Outdoor Stone Communion Table including a Baptismal Rock under the Memorial Pavilion in partnership with a local artist

  • 2022 Built a Memorial Pavilion for Homeless Community in Partnership with AHM & Habitat for Humanity

  • 2020 "A Sabbath's Journey with Abba" PC(USA) Sabbatical Grant & Develop Online Worship Service & Ministries

  • 2019 Cooperative Ministry with Grace Lutheran Church

  • 2018 Participated in the Presbyterian CREDO Conference sponsored by The Board of Pensions

  • 2017 Received the third and final "Growth Grant" from the 1001 New Worshiping Communities, PC(USA)

  • 2016 Served as the Moderator of the Synod of the Covenant, 11 Presbyteries in Ohio & Michigan 

  • 2015 Installed a Commission Chaplain for Advent House Fellowship - 1001 New Worshiping Communities

  • 2014 Created “Advent House Fellowship” as one of the 1001 New Worshiping Communities with an average of 75 worshipers on Sunday

  • 2013 Celebrated Congregational Renewal & Personal Sabbath through the Clergy Renewal Grant from Lilly Endowment

  • 2012 Completed Handicap Accessibility Project through joint cooperative efforts  of North Building Fund, AHM & NWPC
